The Ancient Solitary Reign is a fantasy novel by Martin Hocke. The main character, Hunter, is a Barn Owl, and the story connects his own community with those of other Owl species; Hunter becomes a friend, and then enamoured with, a Little Owl named Alba.
The Ancient Solitary Reign was first published in 1989, by Grafton Books.
