Husky

A husky is a rugged breed of dog that, in RL, is used as a work dog and a companion. They are sociable animals and friendly towards humans, but genetically closer to wolves than most species of dogs. The archetypical husky is grey to black with notable blotches of white, especially on its face and muzzle.

Huskies are most popular in the Balto fandom, in which most fan-made characters are huskies or half-husky, half-wolf. A number of furries have husky characers, including (for example) Duncan da Husky, Huskie, and NuDog.
