Bio
Ember, or as he is known outside of the internet as Iain Hutchins, is a fatfur and inflation artist in his early twenties. He discovered the furry fandom in late 2005 on an idle search of the internet for pictures of dragons. He is a furry hobbyist rather than a lifestyler, and does not involve himself in most of the more "fandom-esque" ideologies of furry, such as therianthropy, role playing and Second Life.
He is however, a keen admirer of fursuits and has placed an order for one to be made for him, due to be finished in October 2007. Ember considers himself to have the right attitude and personality to become a well-known and admired performer.
Ember was born in the United Kingdom, but has also spent considerable time living in other countries, including 5 years in Belgium, and 8 years in the Republic of Ireland.
The Fursona
Ember's fursona has gone through several design changes since it's conception in 2005. It was originally designed to be a red and brown dragon with the name of Cym. A name change was in order though in late 2006, due to an embarassing mis-pronounciation that most people attached to this name. It was Ember's mate at the time (Leon Fauve, creator of FMV) who suggested the name "Ember" due to the primarily red colouration of the fursona. The name was adopted, and has stuck ever since.
The fursona is not in actual fact a dragon any more though, more a mix between a dog and a dragon, which Ember dubbed a "komodog" as he once considered making it a mix between a komodo dragon and a dog. However, it simply became easier to explain to people that it was part dragon, not part komodo dragon, but the name has stuck ever since. It can best be described as a dragon without wings, but with fur.
In early 2007, Ember decided to create a secondary fursona, a husky called "Blanko" for which he would adopt as a fursuiting character. He has commissioned Joecifur to create Blanko for him, and hopes to debut him at Midwest Furfest 2007.
Ember Explains It All
Ember has created a series of short videos, explaining (among other things) aspects of the fandom that infuriate him. The videos have been comapared to that of a "British 2 Gryphon", but Ember insists that people not compare him to 2, as that was not his original intention behind the videos. The most popular of the videos that he has made is one of him arguing about why the video game Manhunt 2 should not have been banned in the UK. Art
Ember, as mentioned earlier, is a prolific fatfur and inflation artist, and currently has a Fur Affinity and deviantART profile. He has been drawing since early 2006, and has made a small name for himself amongst the fatfur community. He is always looking for new support, and is always interested in seeing new work by other artists
Attitudes to the Fandom
Ember is somewhat uncompromising in his attitudes towards certain aspects of the furry fandom, and does not take very well to people who irritate him. He is known for openly, and without mercy, flaming anyone who happens to infuriate him. Be it someone who does not gel with his views on furry, or just a fur who happens to have annoyed him for whatever reason. An example of this can be found in one of his FA journals.
