Luxari
Lougara (Hope Glass) currently resides in Patuxent River, Maryland, and is a meteorologist in training in the Navy. She has been in the furry fandom since 2002. She is currently divorcing her husband, and hopes to enjoy the single fur life soon. One of her best furry fandom friends is Anjel, with whom she does art trades and My Little Pony customizations.
She is an amateur furry artist, her preferred mediums being Prismacolor markers and pencils, but she is also quickly learning the ropes in Gimp Shop 2.2. She loves doing art trades and gift art for friends. She has not been to any conventions, but is planning out a tarot card portfolio which she started in 2005, and intends to post it by September 2008. She plans to attend AC 2007. She is also working on a piece of her and all of her friends in the fandom.She is an avid role player, has two years of experience playing Vampire: The Masquerade, and is currently constructing a character for and learning Werewolf: The Forsaken. Lougara is a Kemetic pagan - she worships Egyptian gods. She has been a pagan since she was 12. She is currently 21. She is an ametuer storm chaser, and loves filming severe weather, having chased three cumulonimbus clouds, two supercells (and having been chased by one tornado).
The fursona
Lougara's fursona is a hybrid of a golden tan jackal, arabian and bone childe, a skeleton inhabited by the spirits of creatures who were killed unjustly or before their time. Her fursona is a hermaphrodite, and a polymorphic taur, which means shi can go from a quadrupedal to a bipedal form. Shi has jackal forelegs and horse hindlegs, a horse tail and bone wings. Hir head is that of a jackal.
Lougara is extremely symbolic of things and events in her life. Jackal- represents intelligence, desire to protect family and friends, yet represents desire to have alone time. Also represents Anubis, whom Lougara worships. Arabian- represents skittish tendancies, patience, loyalty, and hard work. the bone wings- they represent the freedoms yet restrictions that come with being in the military- wings that cannot fly. The bone childe spirits that inhabit hir wings represent that hir friends and family are always in hir heart. They also represent hir unborn child that she lost to a miscarriage in 2004, and that she will never forget that once she carried life within her womb. Being a taur- Lougara in RL is a klutz, and having four feet symbolizes that she wishes she had more graceful bearing. Being a hermaphrodite- Lougara in RL is pansexual, and being a herm represents her lack of concern over gender in a loving relationship- however- due to being in the military, Lougara has no choice but to seek male companionship. The overall Egyptian theme- Lougara is a Kemetic pagan and worships Anubis, hence the Egyptian theme.
