Cosplay (short for costume-play) is a hobby among anime fans and the furry fandom, which involves dressing up in either a fursuit or regular costume, especially of fictional characters or species from a particular series. While mostly associated with the anime fandom, it is common in the furry fandom as well.
Many cosplayers wear such costumes to conventions and other events.
