Ukiwa was born in the city of Ufa in Bashkortostan, Russia (or the South Urals of the USSR at the time). Less than one year after graduating from Ufa Aviation State University with a degree in robotic engneering, Ukiwa moved to Moscow, which he always loved, and has remained there ever since. He presents himself as "just a lonely cheetah male looking for happiness".

In the past, Ukiwa was the only person in his group of friends to have a personal apartment, so they often visited him to spend time together - they named one of those parties Rusfurrence 0. Ukiwa has subsequently taken part in organizing (translation) other furry conferences.
