Timing

Should probably wait a day or so to report this until they actually have something up on the main page. --GreenReaper(talk) 04:26, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

censers

Wonder how many in china (excluding Taiwan) can see it, they censer wiki and most things not approved of by general Chinese socialistic culture, like furry art which was outlawed a year 2 years ago I believe in mainland china. --71.233.43.183 23:50, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

They don't censor wikis per se and there's no outlawing of anthropormophic art as far as I know (in fact many of primetime cartoons - which they do limit imports on, there weren't any import animes in 2007 - features anthropomorphic animals), and even if that, the Chinese WikiFur will not censor just because it's nudity. (Note, this is not policy yet.)
The problem still exists because the furry fandom has a higher than usual amount of not safe for minors, and most of furries with Chinese background I know are either Taiwan or overseas based, few in mainland China have heard of furry fandom. As such, it remains to be seen the reception of Chinese Wikifur in mainland China. Nevertheless, I hope that the Chinese WikiFur would be able to bring more of the fandom to people who have never known it.
Also I object to Wikimedia Foundation trademarking Wiki in Taiwan, just so you know, Wiki isn't short for Wikipedia (and sister projects).--NekoYasha (Kakurady)00:01, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
