Ears on a headband are sometimes worn by furries
Ears, specifically furry ears, are another way that some members of the furry community use to get closer, in the real world, to their character. Many furries wear ears that identify the species they feel close to, often used in conjunction with tails. These furry ears can be attached to hats, barrettes, or head bands. They can be be made by the person or purchased from someone at a convention in the Dealers Room or Artists Alley, or online from furs who make them.

It should be noted that some anime fans also wear ears, usually when playing a neko character (such as a catgirl).
