Sloths are a slow-moving mammal. Surviving species of sloth are tree-dwellers in the jungles of America (Central and South) that hang upside down from the tree branches using their hooked claws. Extinct sloth species include aquatic sloths and ground sloths, some of which were elephant-sized.
