Tabbicus is a member of the furry fandom. He was introduced to it by A.G. Silver Shepherd in December of 2005. He has been mated to Khortl Wolf since October of 2006.
Contents
The character
Tabbicus Polydactyl Domesticus (commonly shortened to Tabbi or Tabs) has adopted the avatar of a polydactyl cat. His fur is royal blue with yellow markings. He has medium-length maroon hair and green eyes. He is usually depicted wearing his distinguishing purple sunglasses. Tabbicus has a fun-loving personality. He is very friendly and is always willing to lend an ear.
Origins
The main inspiration for the Tabbicus fursona is one of Tabbi's cats in real life, Paws. He is a polydactyl Maine Coon. Like the character, Paws has twenty-six toes.
The name, Tabbicus Domesticus, has no real-life significance. It was coined to sound like a taxonomic classification.
Tabbi's main colors (blue, gold, and maroon) were inspired by the colors of the Arizona State Flag.

Poker Tournaments
- FC 2009: He placed first at this tournament, after defeating Bjorn Grafeldr heads-up. It's also interesting to note that he was the first person seated in the first qualifier, so he truly did last the longest.
- RMFC 2009: He hosted the small, 12-player tournament. He placed first, after defeating his boyfriend, Khortl, heads up.
- FC 2010: He placed fifth at this tournament. He was eliminated by fellow Arizona fur Skuff Coyote.
- Califur 2010: Not including RMFC 2009, which was an impromptu tournament, this was his first shot at hosting an official con tournament. He did not play; he hosted, organized, and dealt for the 24-player tournament.
- RMFC 2010: As at Califur, he hosted the 24-player poker tournament for this convention.
- FC 2011: He placed 14th at this event.
- Califur 2011: As in the previous year, he hosted the small tournament, which was won by Miles A. Matthias.
- RMFC 2011: Once again, he was in charge of the tournament. At the request of the con, an additional qualifying session was added, bringing the total player count to 32. Leif the Otter won the tournament.
- FC 2012: He finished in 3rd place, his best finish since winning the event in 2009.
- Califur 2012: He directed the con's tournament for its third year. It was won by Doubleofox.
- RMFC 2012: He directed the tournament for its fourth year. Shortly after the con, he announced that due to employment changes, he would be resigning as tournament director of both Califur and RMFC.
- FC 2013: He busted from this tournament within the first hour of play. He dealt for the final table of this tournament.
Phoenix Furness
Tabbicus is credited with coining the name Phoenix Furness. Before the convention idea was abandoned, he was a member of the convention's board and served in the capacity of Guest of Honor Relations.
Fursuit
In January 2009, Tabbi made the down payment on a full fursuit for his character, also made by Lacy. The suit was completed in September 2009 and debuted at FURconsin 2009.
Outside of Furry
Tabbicus lives in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born in 1989 in New York City. However, his family moved to Phoenix when he was only two months old, and he has lived there ever since. He graduated from high school in May 2007. He lives with his parents and his pets (five cats and a dog).
Interest in Disney
Tabbi has a strong interest in The Disney Company, particularly Disney parks. He can often be heard quoting lines from his favorite attractions, such as The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean. He is also a fan of Disney's older live-action films, such as Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Song of the South.
Education
Tabbi attended Arizona State University. He graduated in the Summer 2012 semester with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology.
