Jaspian or Jaspian Stealthpaw one of the most visible fennec in the fandom, with numerous media exploits across the furry subculture, from art to furry raves. Often referred to as the 'dancing harem fox boy', his most notable contribution to the fandom to date is the founding and execution of the world-renowned The Frozen Oasis parties with his best friend Soron the Panda.

Character

Jaspian, also known as "Jaspian the Fennec", "Jaspian the Harem Fox Boi", "The Original Showfoxy", as well as numerous other titles, first appeared as a furry character on the MUD of FurryMUCK. It wasn't until many years later, when Jaspian's player became an adult, that the fursona was expanded into the real world, by his player dressing as his character.

Jaspian typically wears an ankle-length satin ceremonial loincloth, and matching cape -- a fashion that was conceived and popularized by him. However, he has also been known to dabble in other, even more elaborate costumes, such as authentic exotic show costumes. While many furry characters dress elaborately, Jaspian started the trend of emulating such character eccentricities in reality.

The character's other notable features include brown triangular eye markings in the corners of his eyes, a black beautymark on his left cheek below his eye, massive ears, and a massive tail. He is also the only overtly Sinai fennec in the fandom, having orange-red on his back and a white underbelly, rather than the matte browns and yellows of traditional fennec coloration.

In Person

Known to be one of the most physically attractive boys in the furry fandom, and he knows it, he doesn't shy from teasing and dressing risque. He also is known for his quick wit. He has alluded that he works in the video game industry in reality, but doesn't tend to elaborate.

Nor does he go by his given name, while in furry circles. He responds to "Jaspian" as well as a number of other nicknames, including: J, Jas, Jasp, Jaspi, Jaspia, Dancing Harem Fox Boi, Dancing Harem Fennec Boi, the Original Showfoxy, the Original Showfurry, the original showfennec.

Exploits

The Frozen Oasis

The largest and most popular furry convention party in the world was co-founded by Jaspian, and he produces most of its artwork. The Frozen Oasis party weakened somewhat in 2008, having only one convention party, but looks to be reemerging in 2009. There have been 15 Frozen Oasis parties to date, over the course of 3 years, and it has netted over 400 attendees at a time, dwarfing some conventions. ^{[citation needed]}

Politics

In 2008 and into 2009, Jaspian began a livejournal skit around the 2008 presidential election, that was widely popular. ^{[citation needed]}

Jaspian is also a member of the American Patriotic Movement, writing often about the illegalities of government, the shortcomings of socialism, and protection of civil liberty, while working as a moderating influence against an otherwise zealotous audience. ^{[citation needed]}

Music

Jaspian is a DJ in the furry fandom, playing mostly Frozen Oasis parties, he is scheduled to debut as a convention DJ at Morphicon 2009.

No official Jaspian tracks have been publicly released to date.

Jaspian's interests include illustration; computer graphics; computer game programming and design; 3D model making; fashion design; dancing; electronic music composition; martial arts; wine tasting; and story-writing.
