SveaFur is an online community for Swedish furry fans.

History
In early 2006, a group of Swedish furry fans were displeased with the options available for Swedish furries to socialize with one another. The only active line of communication was the IRC channel SweFur and some felt that they wanted more than an IRC channel to go by. So Ratiries got the idea to start "SveaFur", together with Ricadonna, who volunteered to host the website.
SveaFur soon started to gather interest and growth. After five months of operation, the membership totaled around 30 individuals, and several furmeets have been held in the cities of Lund, Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm, arranged by SveaFur members.
Members have also come together to create their own World of Warcraft guild (now closed), which was open to any SveaFur member, and which had an own subforum on the main SveaFur forum. It used to share a forum with Anthro World War II Art Bunker, now closed.
SveaFur and Swefur
Despite some discouraging from selected SweFur chatters[1], SveaFur hopes one day to affiliate itself with the IRC-channel, and merge them together. The two have recently started interacting more but still have a long way to go, one problem being that they attract quite different types of furres.
SveaFur meets
- Sep 22, 2006: Three members went to see Over the Hedge in Malmö. Another five members had expressed interest but were unable to make it. This meet was arranged by quoting_mungo and Naifu-chan.
- Oct 20, 2006: Five members met up for an evening out in Lund. This evening ended up being spent mostly at Subway. One more member had originally intended to come but couldn't make it. This meet was arranged by quoting_mungo and Naifu-chan.
- Nov 24, 2006: Gaming meet in Staffanstorp, arranged by Ricadonna, with several other furs bringing additional games and snacks. This meet doubled as a birthday party for Ricadonna and Ratiries, and had eight furs in attendance, three of whom had travelled from Stockholm.
- Nov 25, 2006: Planned excursion to Laser Dome in Malmö, arranged by Ricadonna and Grisha. This meet was cancelled due to the gaming meet lasting late the night before.
- Dec 30, 2006: Christmas Dog Scraps: Planned Christmas potluck dinner at quoting_mungo's residence, arranged by quoting_mungo and Naifu-chan. This dinner was cancelled when too few furs signed up.
- Mar 17, 2007: A couple of members and friends outside of the forum met up and went to a café to draw and chat.
- Jan 27, 2008: Six members met up in Malmö to celebrate a member's 18th birthday. At first they went to see the movie I Am Legend. After that they ate at Burger King and then played LaserDome. The birthday boy bought them all icecream afterwards in thanks.
- Jul 25, 2008: Three members went to see the movie Kung Fu Panda together in Lund, along with a friend brought along by one of the members.
