:Well, it's now made its way into [http://www.comics.com/comics/hedge/archive/hedge-20070621.html a syndicated comic strip], so clearly ''something'' ought to be done. I would recommend (1) splitting up this article, (2) splitting the "media coverage" category into fiction (like CSI) and news items/magazine articles, and (3) sticking all the new articles under the fiction subcategory. Could this article have a better title? Spaz Kitty 22:18, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Some of these already have their own items in Category:Internet coverage. -- Sine 22:21, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Breaking up is hard to do

Okay, so in regards to whether it ought to be broken up... I figured it'd be useful if someone looking for info on this subject would have it all on one page, so we didn't end up with a buttload of teeny articles.

As for the name, I just thought, "What would a user instinctively enter into the Search bar if they were looking for this?" Admittedly, "Furry references in webcomics" probably would have been better, and if we change the name and add a redirect, we'll have both off them covered. Octan 19:07, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

I think this stands as it is.. most of these comics arent at all related to the fandom, Id be glad to see PvP and Penny Arcade rolled into this article, not the other way around.. that would make our coverage in webcomics easier to track for fans. Perhaps rename it "webcomic coverage" too, part of Internet coverage. If all this would make the article too long then go ahead and split it

VGCats did a piece for Movie Comics with a very brief slight: http://www.vgcats.com/comics/movedcomics/021207.jpg Also Sluggy Freelance had a short joke on the fandom: http://www.sluggy.com/daily.php?date=031002 ~ Downspin

How is that VGCats comic related to furry? o.o Spaz Kitty 19:32, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Panel 8, where Ramsoomair's character is called a 'damned furry', and he stomps off.. notice how the fight picks up after that. ~ Downspin

More then just webcomics?

Furry is referenced in more then just webcomics online, just like Bonus Stage is listed at the end. An example I could think of is Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series, which references furries in episode 12. Mabye this article should be split into webcomics and other online media. Just a thought, though. --Miff Falden(tlk|fur) 02:28, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

I believe creating a single article "media coverage" which would be the hub for all articles related to webcomics/websites/animation/newspapers/neural links could do the trick. Kind of like Wikipedia's "List of...". -- Mikael Grizzly, the cougar too lazy to log in.
There's already and Timeline of media coverage, so I don't think a media coverage article is the answer. While I like looking at the article (Webcomics that reference Furry), I think it's probably a good idea to move the info to Timeline of internet coverage and the various articles in. --EarthFurst 12:24, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
