The Energetic Convention (T.E.C.) is an online furry convention hosted at Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada.
History.
T.E.C. was created by Unifox[1] as a fun experience both on Discord[2] and VRChat.
- The first T.E.C. was first held on October 25-31, 2020. Attendance: 0
- The second was held on November 5 - 7, 2021. Attendance: 1
- The third was held April 1 - 3, 2022 [3] Attendance: ~6
- The fourth is now scheduled for October 14-16, 2022.[4]
Logo
The T.E.C. logo design was based on the logo for the city the con is based in (Fort St. John).
Services
The Discord server has a couple of chat rooms available prior to the event. During the con, it offered several chat rooms such as con info, a text chat for the main con floor, a chat with links to the VR instances being used for events, a chat for signing up do the dealers den, some VC's for the main con floor, and chats for the dealers den stations.
On VRChat, there are a couple of instances open in the virtual world such as the main landing area with rooms, and events that will be in various worlds around. Once the opening is done, there is a hangout time, then the VRC world instance used of opening is kept up for the duration of the con. Once an event is done, the instance used is closed.
